Housekeeping & Facilities Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, including weekends
Role Summary
The Housekeeping & Facilities Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and guest-ready presentation of Goodstone Inn & Restaurant across all common areas, exterior spaces, pool, and Carriage House.
This role ensures a pristine and welcoming environment while supporting overall housekeeping operations. Flexibility is essential, as this position will also assist with guest room cleaning and turnovers when needed.
Key Responsibilities
General Upkeep & Common Areas
- Clean and maintain public and back-of-house spaces
- Vacuum, mop, and deep clean floors and furnishings
- Dust surfaces, fixtures, vents, and baseboards
- Clean glass, mirrors, and light fixtures
- Restock supplies and maintain storage areas
- Report maintenance or safety concerns
- Support event setup and breakdown
Housekeeping Support (Guest Rooms)
- Assist with room turnovers during peak periods
- Strip and make beds to standard
- Clean bathrooms and reset guest rooms
- Deliver linens, amenities, and guest requests
- Support team productivity goals
Pool & Changing Rooms
- Clean and restock changing areas
- Maintain pool furniture and layout
- Clean pool deck and walkways
- Assist with seasonal pool setup/closing
Carriage House
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean and restock bathrooms
- Maintain guest-ready appearance
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces
Grounds & Exterior
- Conduct daily property walkthroughs
- Remove debris and maintain outdoor areas
- Empty exterior trash receptacles
- Maintain signage, lighting, and outdoor furniture
Deep Cleaning & Seasonal Work
- Shampoo carpets and upholstery
- Deep clean storage areas
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Support seasonal transitions
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping or facilities experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work indoors/outdoors
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Team-oriented and flexible
Physical Demands
- Active role across a 265-acre property
- Frequent walking, lifting, bending, and standing
- Ability to navigate outdoor terrain
